Spectre media monitoring

October saw the release of the latest installment in the James Bond franchise, Spectre. The film dominated UK box offices in it’s opening weekend becoming the highest grossing film of the year so far.

Working on behalf of Eon productions and Sony Pictures, DMS were proud to be selected as a key partner in the localisation and distribution of promotional content in addition to monitoring the film across all traditional and social platforms.

We started localising and distributing content back in early February, servicing 8 VLOGs and localising content for 23 territories worldwide. In addition, international versioning was undertaken for an exclusive partnership with Heineken by DMS. This utilised our secure management and distribution system, Panther. Panther was used in the end to end localisation workflow, from approvals through to distribution of final files for launching in territory. Panther was also utilised for some of the trailer and TV spot localisation for the movie including versions created for brand partners, Omega.

The Hawk media monitoring team meticulously gathered an enormous amount of coverage across print, broadcast and online mediums correlating with the success of the film. Additionally, our Social Media Insights team provided key insight and analysis including pulse reporting for both the press screening and the world premiere in London.

Spectre has taken over the No. 1 spot in every market that it has been released in, a fantastic achievement that we were delighted to have played our part in supporting.
