For the EPK, our team had just one day to capture everything necessary for the promotional piece before the evening’s performance. After an early set-up to position a jib crane and multiple cameras, filming began at 9 a.m. and wrapped by 4 p.m. The result was a dynamic piece showcasing the spectacular songs and performances that make Motown such a success.
In addition, DMS produced and managed the press night livestream, hosted by Craig Stevens and featuring Motown founder Berry Gordy along with celebrity guests. The stream went live simultaneously on The Daily Telegraph website and the show’s own page, drawing over 5,000 viewers from locations as far-flung as Denmark and Canada. It also included exclusive promotional content from the Broadway production, as well as unseen interview footage with Berry Gordy and Smokey Robinson.
Thanks to our team’s skillful coordination, we were able to mix pre-cut content into the livestream in real-time, while also crafting a highlights reel of the event—delivering a seamless and engaging experience for viewers across the globe.
