DMS & COVID19

COVID-19 has had a dramatic effect on the world we know, with tragic loss of life  and incredible impact on our day to day has been unimaginable. It also challenged the industry that we all work in and love.

The whole of DMS has been working from home since mid-March in our locations in London, Sydney and Los Angeles. This transition to work remotely was aimed at protecting our staff and our families whilst enabling us to maintain our 24hr services for our clients.

In order to better manage the business during the unique period of lockdown, we reduced our capacity in several areas by placing a number of staff roles on furlough. This enabled us to manage the business during a time where the theatrical movie industry was in a state of inertia, to safeguard our future and ensure that we were able to ramp up and be ready for our clients as restrictions eased and the world started to turn again.

We are, and will always remain, a talent-driven agency where our people are at the heart of what we do and we are now starting to bring them back into the DMS family as the industry cautiously starts up.

Whilst it is possible that we will never fully comprehend the devastating impact on families and lives, what is clear as we move into Summer is that the world needs to start turning again and the thirst for the theatrical cinematic experience is there, with the desire to be lost in the magic of a film seemingly bigger than ever.

So DMS is opening its doors again, bringing our teams back and supporting the industry as it returns once more.

We love the film industry. We love the ability of film to take your imagination away from daily life, to excite, to provoke, to engage and to entertain. And more than ever, the world needs it.

From all of us, we wish you and your families good health and look forward to seeing you again soon.
