DMS Managing Director, Simon Briggs, comments:

I am incredibly proud of what we have built and what we stand for, and our culture and people are always at the heart of that.”

In July, DMS celebrated our annual Culture Week, an internal initiative designed to recognise the essence of our company culture and the people who make DMS so special. We live by our values and strive to create a work environment that instills these same principles in our team, supporting both personal and professional growth.

A Week of Culture, Connection, and Celebration

This year’s celebration kicked off with an early morning caffeine boost during a special coffee training session hosted by our resident expert, Cassie. As the midday sun reached its peak, we were treated to ice cream before heading into town for a private screening of Marvel Studios’ Deadpool And Wolverine at Picturehouse Central – and this was only the beginning! The following day began with a meaningful talk from our HR Assistant, Crystal, on mental health in the workspace before we indulged in a special Culture Week edition of Munch of the Month, featuring a delicious spread of Indian cuisine. The day wrapped up with a spectacular Games Night, where team members took to every floor of the office for some well-deserved fun.

On Day Three, we celebrated the much-anticipated #WellnessWednesday – a fan favorite. Employees enjoyed relaxing massages and refreshing juices, and in the evening we enjoyed some high-energy fun with Musical Bingo hosted by Rebecca, Vi, and Aylwin. The week went from strength to strength on Day 4 as we encouraged staff to use the day to wear the clothes which represent their culture – with an amazing turnout! Activities began with a quick refresher on the many benefits available to DMS staff and an afternoon delivery of teatime treats saw us through to the evening’s Classic Quiz Night .

Events like these aren’t just about fun—they reinforce our commitment to team collaboration and diversity. Whether through competition or celebration of heritage, we encourage our people to connect on a deeper level.

Culture Week 2024 Highlights: Town Hall and Summer Party

On the final day of Culture Week, we reached a major milestone by hosting a Town Hall at The Ambassadors Theatre. Produced by our talented Create Services Team, the event featured our Leadership Team, who took to the stage to share our business strategy, talent development plans, and company culture vision.

We want to extend a special thank you to ATG for providing the perfect venue and to Duncan and Jamie from AKA for joining us.

Finally, we ended Culture Week 2024 in style with our much-anticipated Summer Party. After a week filled with inspiration and connection, the entire DMS team came together to celebrate our culture, achievements, and each other.

Culture Week 2024 marked our 4th annual celebration, and it was our biggest yet. With a diverse lineup of events curated by staff, for staff, we made sure there was something for everyone to enjoy—from exciting bingo nights and mental health talks to well-being initiatives and endless food spreads. We want to thank everyone who contributed to making this week so special.

At DMS, we understand that a strong workplace culture lays it’s foundation in relationships and that is why we’re so passionate about our people. After a few years of growth across our departments, we now have a 245 strong, and growing, workforce full of outstanding talents from around the globe, who bring passion and expertise in everything they do from GFX and audio, to social media analysis and production.

Culture Week 2024 was a powerful reminder of the community and teamwork that make DMS such a vibrant place to work. We can’t wait to see what next year brings!
