Dad’s Army ‘Legacy’ Edit
DMS had the pleasure of editing two featurettes for Universal Pictures’ Dad’s Army movie. Launched on Universal Pictures’ social media channels, the featurettes will also be used as special features on the forthcoming DVD release.
The featurette sees original series writer and executive producer Jimmy Perry, plus original cast members Ian Lavender and Frank Williams, all talking about how the film sees new actors interpreting these beloved characters, whilst still honouring the past. Toby Jones, Bill Nighy, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Gambon also talk about their love of the original series.
The ‘Women of Walmington’ featurette focuses on the expanded universe of female characters in the movie, including the first on-screen appearance of Mrs Mainwaring, brought to life by Felicity Montagu.
The film sees Captain Mainwaring and his platoon searching for a German spy who has infiltrated Walmington-on-Sea – and comedy mayhem ensues… Dad’s Army marches back into UK cinemas from Friday 5th February.
