DMS DELIVERS A FAST-TURNAROUND LOCALISATION CAMPAIGN FOR 20TH CENTURY FOX’S GLOBAL BLOCKBUSTER

When 20th Century Fox prepared to release War for the Planet of the Apes, they turned to DMS to handle the localisation and distribution of over 500 promotional assets across 36 territories. As the third instalment of the Planet of the Apes reboot, the film needed a complex, multi-country marketing campaign to reach a diverse global audience while maintaining consistency with the film’s intense, action-packed tone. 

DMS was responsible for localising a wide array of TV spots, social media content, digital billboards, and online assets to ensure the campaign resonated with audiences across EMEA, LATAM, and APAC regions. Working with a compressed timeline, our team coordinated the adaptation of each asset to meet local regulations, including voiceovers, age ratings, and graphic localisation for different languages. 

Efficient Multi-Platform Content Localisation 

DMS leveraged its secure platform, PANTHER ONLINE®, to manage the review and distribution of all content. Our localisation team worked swiftly to ensure that each country received the required promotional materials—some markets requested just a few assets, while others needed dozens of variations. Our in-house audio team recorded voiceovers in multiple languages, while our GFX specialists created pixel-perfect localised graphics that matched the quality of the original production. 

In the final stage, DMS delivered the assets to global broadcasters via the IMD Cloud platform, ensuring every TV spot and digital billboard went live on time. The entire process—from the receipt of the master files to distribution—was completed with remarkable speed, sometimes within 24 hours of the initial request, all while adhering to strict security protocols to prevent any pre-release leaks.

The localisation efforts played a key role in the global marketing success of War for the Planet of the Apes, which became a major summer blockbuster.
