DMS DELIVERS OVER 500 ASSES ACROSS 50 COUNTRIES FOR 20TH CENTURY FOX’S BLOCKBUSTER MUSICAL

For the global release of The Greatest Showman, 20th Century Fox enlisted DMS to spearhead the localisation and delivery of over 500 promotional assets. This ambitious campaign needed to resonate across diverse markets while preserving the film’s magical, uplifting tone. The task? To produce creative content for TV, social media, digital billboards, and online platforms that would captivate international audiences. 

DMS managed the creation and localisation of 509 unique assets in nearly 50 countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations and cultural nuances. Our team coordinated the adaptation of voiceovers, age ratings, URLs, and social media tags, with 376 of the final assets delivered to the EMEA region alone. In collaboration with local voiceover artists and our in-house audio team, we recorded and mixed voiceovers in various languages, adding subtitles where required, and created pixel-perfect graphic cards to match the quality of the original master files. These included essential titles like “Now in Cinemas” and “Coming Soon,” all expertly localised. 

Seamless and Secure Approval Process  

DMS employed its secure streaming service, PANTHER ONLINE®, to streamline the review and approval process for localised content. The platform allowed 20th Century Fox’s marketing teams in different territories to request, preview, and approve assets quickly, ensuring tight turnaround times. 

Given the unpredictable number of asset requests per region, PANTHER ONLINE® enabled our team to manage orders efficiently, ensuring every asset was delivered on time and to exacting standards. 

Expanding Reach, Maximising Impact 

The campaign contributed to The Greatest Showman’s impressive $430 million global box office success. With an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe win, the film became one of the highest-grossing live-action musicals of all time. DMS’s localisation efforts played a central role in ensuring the film’s marketing campaign resonated across multiple regions, helping build excitement and anticipation worldwide. Our work amplified the film’s global presence, all while maintaining its heartwarming, show-stopping appeal.
