DMS shoots and scores at the NBA Paris Game 2020

As 2020 dawned, the NBA made it’s return to Europe, hosting its global game in Paris for the very first time.

The DMS production team were delighted to join forces with the NBA EME and Africa teams yet again and headed over to the city of lights to capture footage and editing promotional content across a week of exciting activity, culminating in Friday’s game between the Charlotte Hornets and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Highlights throughout the week included a trip to the Trocadéro to film influencers, and basketball freestylers, Lisa Zimouche and Brisco as they challenged passers by to try and get the ball from them.

We also had the extreme pleasure of capturing interviews with NBA legends such as Kareem Abdul Jabbar in the Eiffel Tower and even took a trip to Paris-Saint Germain stadium with the Bucks for a very special tour of the ground.

At Friday’s game, the team was court-side, with seven different film crews and two editors who were backstage editing as the game was unfolding.

We started off the evening covering the doors of the AccorHotels Arena, welcoming the 20,000 strong crowd. The team then followed the hype of the inaugural game onto the red carpet, talking to several NBA stars from Neymar Jr. to NBA Legend Tony Parker. As soon as the carpet finished, the edit team were quick to turn the footage around for the NBA team.

As ever, the whole production team had a brilliant week covering the game, which finished 116-103 to the Bucks and has resulted in 26 shoots and over 20 edits from DMS.
