DMS celebrates Workplace Culture Week
This week, DMS celebrated Workplace Culture Week, a movement designed to raise awareness on why a positive company culture is a key driving force in every industry. We live by our values and strive to provide an environment that instils the same trust, integrity, passion and drive in our people.
DMS Managing Director, Simon Briggs comments:
“Our people are a reflection of DMS and vice versa. Our values embody this relationship and drive how we engage our clients, how we engage each other and how we do everything here from business ambition, client relations and delivery to talent development, management and recruitment. I am incredibly proud of what we have built and what we stand for and our culture and people are always at the heart of that.”
Throughout this week, we have explored our workplace culture, celebrating our talented people and treating each other to some well-earned socials.
The DMS Work Space
Over the past three years, DMS has undergone a huge expansion, taking over a new property in London Bridge and building a state of the art facility as a foundation for our business and staff. We now have three floors of bright, spacious offices and break out spaces which provide a comfortable and open environment for our staff to work and relax in.
We have built a creative hub that houses our expert content creation, editing, media intelligence and social media insights teams, streamlining our creative and analytical services.
A Social DMS
Throughout the week, the DMS team threw a raft of social and team-building activities for their colleagues to enjoy. We made pancakes for one another, had a healthy lunch and celebrated payday with drinks and rocked out to our favourite music.
Our operations team and social committee work extremely hard to ensure that a calendar of treats and activities are maintained, rewarding staff for their contribution to our business and creating opportunities for colleagues to meet and mingle with each other away from their desks. From yoga sessions and massages, to film nights and parties, these events are essential to our community as they instil a culture of team-work and shared purpose, promote employee well being and giving and not forgetting an all-important dose of fun to even out that work-life balance.
We understand that a strong workplace culture lays it’s foundation in relationships and that is why we’re so passionate about our people. After a few years of growth across our departments, we now have a 160 strong, and growing, workforce full of outstanding talents from around the globe, who bring passion and expertise in everything they do from GFX and audio, to social media analysis and production.
This week, we met three more members of staff, two of whom joined our international client services teams in Sydney and Los Angeles and another right here at London HQ as our new Talent Manager. We look forward to working with them and learning more about them, and we are sure that they will be warmly welcomed additions to our team.
On our approach to workplace culture, Rachael Dudley, our HR Business Partner said:
“A thriving and happy work culture is proven to help attract talent, drive engagement and retention, impacts on the happiness, satisfaction and well being of our staff and, in turn, improves performance. It’s therefore imperative that we provide a workplace that resonates with the aspirations of our talented team. At DMS, we are dedicated to encouraging excellence and are committed to maintaining an enjoyable and nurturing environment all year round.”
