Rahul Shah

Financial Controller / General Manager:
Hawk Media Monitoring

Rahul came to the UK from India in December 2002 to pursue a professional accountancy course, which he completed whilst working for a firm of Chartered Accountants. He also holds an MBA. Rahul joined DMS as the Financial Controller in October 2009, taking over all the financial and accounting responsibilities of the company, and in 2011 was named General Manager of the Hawk Media Monitoring department.

Joanne Thomson

Hawk Client Services Co-Ordinator

Joanne joined the Hawk Team in 2009 and currently holds the position of Hawk Client Services Coordinator. Joanne works closely with the Press and Broadcast Teams to provide customer services that fulfill our clients individual requirements.

Jo previously worked for the NHS as a registered nurse. She brings to her role here excellent organizational skills and an ability to do 3 things at once!

James Orman

Broadcast Supervisor

James has been with DMS since early 2005, helping to set up the Hawk Department and now overseeing a team of about 10 broadcast monitors. Out of the office he plays guitar in a band (working towards a 3rd album this year) and DJs around town occasionally, inflicting his tastes on unsuspecting clubbers.

Sam Smith

Press Supervisor

Sam Smith has been with DMS since late 2007, starting his career as temporary cover in the press department and quickly climbed the ranks to Press Supervisor in 2011.

Among his many activities, Sam Smith volunteers for the charity Broken Silence, which raises awareness about Sickle Cell Disease through a yearly talent contest. Recently he helped create a school health packet on the disease which will be distributed in schools nationwide.

Richard Vernon

Press Supervisor

Richie joined DMS in 2007 and came to the company with a long history in the field of media monitoring and video editing.

When Richie is not at DMS keeping the Hawk press department under control, he has been known to play the keyboards badly, often in public places. Richie is generally up for it most days (and some mornings) and always happy to help!
